Welcome to the Sun City Ukulele website! The Sun City Ukulele Club is dedicated to having fun! We meet every Thursday to sing and play a variety of songs. We welcome all RCSC card holders regardless of skill level and provide free lessons on the first and third Thursdays from October – March. We also have an acoustic jam group that meets the 1st/3rd Sundays 2:30-4:30pm at Fairway Recreation Center (October - May).

How can I join? Any Sun City resident RCSC card holder can join us at 3PM any Thursday at the Fairway Recreation (10600 W Peoria Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351) Center in the 2nd floor music room. Talk to the friendly people at the front desk and they can sign you up for our club.

NEWS FROM TRUDY

Hello Fellow Uker,

Many thanks to Maxine Brandolini for organizing our jam last Thursday with help from Gayle Bragg, Mary Dyke, Kathy Barrett, Vicki Crets, as well as Larry Vroom on the bass.

Also, about 15 members came to the jam leader workshop. Jam leaders are the lifeblood of our club, so thank you all for attending!

This week, I will be leading the jam with a lot of help from my friends.

This Thursday is the beginning of the Summer Strummers. Many, many thanks to the coordinators, Ginny Steenstra, Sharon Raimann, Sandy Mitchell and Mike Schiff. During the months of June through September, jams will be every Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Note: only one hour. No Weekly Newsletter. Socializing will still be from 2:30 – 3:00pm.

Mark Your Calendar:

Saturday, November 28, 11am – 12pm – All Club Gig, Sundial Rec Center Atrium. We will entertain the shoppers at the Arts and Crafts Festival.
